It can become a daunting task trying to streamline and micromanage the three most important relationships in your life: marriage, motherhood, and your career. Sometimes, you struggle between thanking God for blessing you with the gift of having a devoted and faithful husband, healthy children, and stable employment. But often times, you feel like somehow you missed the boat, that life has so much more to offer, and, you question whether you did enough, made the most of every opportunity, challenged yourself, or, simply settled for a predictable, monotonous life, which defines you as wife, mother, and a 9-5 employee. It can become very stressful, even down-right depressing, when you analyze and dissect your past, and attempt to attach a heap of regrets, as well as, “should have’s, could have’s, but did not.”
Some of us have the ability to make the most out of what is unpleasant, gruesome, or challenging. ‘The Lemonade Entrepreneurs’ truly know how to take the lemons of life, and make, not only lemonade, but lemon pie, lemon strudel, lemon cookies, lemon extract, etc. etc. These are the ‘plastic surgeons’ of life, which understand that the appointments with obstacles, adversities, trials, and tribulations, are inevitable, and can never be canceled. However, through God, perseverance, and patience, they have learned how to surgically reconstruct the opponents of life into opportunities. If you are seeking a change and wanting to do more with your life, the worst possible course of action that you can take is to complain, regret, regret, and complain. You are better off channeling your energy, time, and talents, into first praising God for all that he has given you, and with faith, praising him for giving you the change that you seek, even if the change has yet to occur.
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1, NIV Bible). Whatever you are looking for, whatever change that you want to happen, believe that it will happen, and set short and long term goals that will ultimately manifest your dream. Consequently, one of the most annoying stressors in life is waiting. Therefore, it is important to develop strategies that can minimize the stress of planning and waiting on your change, and/or dreams to occur. Detox your stress through meditation and exercise. Read Bobbie Liebeman’s How to Get Started With Meditation for some really great tips on invoking your inner peace and calmness.
