So, I’m getting this one out a little late this week. There are a ton of great live shows going on, so make sure you catch one. Support the local artists that are busting their humps out there to give everyone a great night of live music.
Tonight, March 5th Clay Walker W/ Lee Brice at the Grizzly Rose. Tickets are $28 and the doors open at 6pm. If your a country fan you need to be at this show, and what better place to see a country show than at the Grizzly Rose?
Tonight, March 5th, Mike Schikora is playing at Casselman’s. Mike is the real deal when it comes to country. He is a dying breed of country singer that still works out in the pasture, and rides his horses as well as raises some of them. He transplanted from Nashville to Colorado a while back because his songs were becoming “too Nashville”. The Rockies proved to be just what he needed. Make sure to head over to Cassleman’s tonight to see what is sure to be a great C&W show. Tickets are $5 and doors open at 8pm.
Dyrty Byrds play at Quixote’s True Blue tonight, March 5th. The boys in Dyrty Byrds will be playing some good old southern style rock n roll. The show starts at 11pm.
Saturday, March 6th, Aloft In The Sundry hosts will be playing a SXSW kick off show at The Oriental Theater with Synthetic Elements and The Alan Baird Project. Go see Aloft In The Sundry off in style and wish them the best. Cost is $7 and doors open at 7pm.
The Historic Five Points Blues Jam will be held Sunday, March 7th at the Climax Lounge. Hosting this week will be: Pattie Melt, James Speiser, Greg Foster, & Eugene “Sings the Blues” Carthen. Show starts at 9pm. Head on down to the Climax Lounge for a perfect way to wind down the weekend.
Blackhawk will be at the Grizzly Rose Friday night, March 12th. Tickets are $12 pre-sale or $15 the day of. You can buy your tickets here or just head down to the Grizzly Rose during normal business hours to purchase your tickets fee free. Doors open at 6pm.
The Indulgers will be playing at Scruffy Murphy’s Friday, March 12th. If you have never seen this band live go check them out. They are a good time band that plays some seriously catchy Celtic music. Allow yourself to let loose a little and join in the dance.
The Indulgers will also be playing at Fado’s Irish Pub on Saturday, March 14th. I will be there and you should be too. After all it is the green month. Is it not?
The Walnut Room hosts John Common & Blinding Flashes Of Light Saturday, March 13th. Tickets are $12 and the doors open at 8pm. You can buy your tickets here.
The Epilogues Mix Tape featuring The Epilogues, Vonnegut, The Say So, The Royal Heist play at the Marquis Theater Saturday, March 13th. This is an all ages show. Cost is $8 but 21+ get in free.
Reverend Deadeye and Big John Bates and the Voodoo Dollz bring rockabilly to Casselman’s Sunday, March 14th. This is a 21+ show. Tickets are $8 pre-sale or $10 the day of. You can buy tickets here. Whiskey Throttle goes on at 7pm followed by Reverend Deadeye at 8pm and Big John Bates And The Voodoo Dollz at 9:30pm.
For right now this is what I’ve got people. There are many, many more shows out there that I either don’t know about or I have run out of time to list. With all the great shows coming up there is no excuse to catch one. Now go see some live music!
