Only two this week folks… I imagine with the impending Oscar presentations, Hollywood wanted as little distraction as possible!!
Alice In Wonderland
Tim Burton’s much anticipated ‘re-imagining’ and melding of the classic Lewis Carroll stories, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass. Certainly, these tales are very strange to begin with, so a director as eclectic as Burton should feel right at home with this one…. his (Burton’s) films have been hit and miss over the past few years, but just the potential for what he has and can again achieve makes this one worth the admission price.
A crime drama that focuses on several different officers in New York (Richard Gere, Ethan Hawke, and Don Cheadle headlining), and the various motivations each possesses for his work. From the look of it, a dark and possibly powerful picture.
