Despite what my children must think, I wasn’t born yesterday.
But, twin lambs were at the Springton Manor Farm in Glenmoore, Pa.
Take your children to Springton Manor, and your family can meet these new family members as well as baby pigs and a baby goat. Chickens, a peacock, cows, bunnies, a kitty and horses are also around to say hello.
Take a stroll down a nature trail, and you can watch geese. Or, you and your kids can just enjoy the running room 300 acres of farmland provides. Entrance to the park is free.
According to its website, Springton has been in agricultural use since the early 1700’s and was once a part of a William Penn Manor.
If you’d like a lunch tip for after your trip to the farm, check out Doghouse Gourmet Burgers in Downingtown. For $20, we got three big burgers, two heaping piles of fries and drinks for the whole family. We were very happy.
Springton Manor is located five miles west of Downingtown. It’s about a 10 to 15 minute drive from West Chester. For directions, click here.

(Please note: Our trip was Saturday, March 20th. Therefore, the lambs were born March 19th.)
