There’s a pretty significant day coming up – one that might get overlooked in all of our Earth Day festivities.
In March, Congress passed Senate Resolution 462, honoring April 22, 2010 as Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day.
Take Our Kids to Work Day 2010 is tomorrow, April 22. For ideas or support in involving your children or business, 1 Youth, 1 Dream, 2Morrow’s Leader is a great place to start. Seriously, they’ve got you covered.
No matter what kind of work you do, I’m pretty sure there’s an aspect that you can share with your child (that you haven’t already). Many businesses and organizations support these opportunities for children and will accommodate it.
Even if your workplace isn’t suited for children, what about doing an at-home demonstration, or Q &A, after dinner? My daughter happens to understand (all too well, in fact) what it means when mommy’s working on the computer.
So, if you’re like me — unemployed (in addition to being a full-time mom) — your best bet is to get all hands on deck and get that laundry sorted and dinner started.
