Robert De Niro, Jerry Seinfeld, Whoopi Goldberg, Brooke Shields, Ivanka Trump, Alicia Keyes and John McEnroe have joined the hundreds of thousands of moviegoers who will gather to attend this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.
Each year the internationally renown film festival shows hundreds of movies with over 1,000 screenings, as well as offers panel discussions and the prestigious Tribeca Film Awards.
Fashionistas such as Diane von Furstenberg, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Queen Noor of Jordan, and models Grace Hightower, Christy Turlington, and Veronica Webb have already “turned out” to kick-off the festival by attending pre-festival events in high style.
Also listed among the guests were David Hyde Pierce, Patricia Clarkson, singer Rob Thomas, NBC’s Brian Williams, Harvey Keitel, Ed Burns, and many more.
The real stars, however, are the movies, themselves.
Festival revenue should top $10 million for the event and is expected to generate over $50 million for the local economy.
This year a cavalcade of industry movers and shakers make up the list of 39 jurors who will be judging the 200+ movies for the awards ceremony.
Screenings start tomorrow April 22, at 9am. and run til just after midnight.
April 22 screenings include:
My Queen Karo
