Come out and join us at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 13th. Sure, it’s the day of our first home bout, but the Atlanta Roller Girls wouldn’t miss this downtown party!
Catch some of our ladies donning green on the route down Peachtree Street and join us at the post-parade festival at Underground Atlanta. We’ll be rolling through, handing out goodies, and entertaining the crowds. Then come to the Shriners and see us compete!
Atlanta Rollergirls derby 101: Ever wonder how the jammer scores points? Here’s the low down:
The first time through, the Jammers sprint, jump, and juke to beat each other through the pack to become the “Lead Jammer” (more on that next month). Jammers don’t score on the first pass.
After the successful completion of her first pass, a Jammer can score points on each additional pass through the pack. A Jammer DOES NOT have to be Lead to score points. Jammers receive points for each opposing blocker in the pack they pass legally.
And now you know!
