Last week Tuesday, Milwaukee police arrested a Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Captain on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault of a child.
42-year-old David Salsbury was arrest by police on Tuesday while he was at the Harley-Davidson Museum, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. After he was arrested at the museum, he was immediately placed at the Waukesha County Jail. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Salsbury was officially charged yesterday. He was charged with 18 counts of sexual misconduct. Included in the 18 counts were, repeated sexual assaults of children as well as possession of child pornography.
It was noted in the 11-page criminal complaint, the crimes of sexual misconduct had occurred over the past 10 years in a home on N. 94th street in the 3400 block of Milwaukee. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, when the crimes began, one of Salisbury’s sexual assault victims was only 3 years old.
News of the story has left Salsbury’s neighbors shocked because they looked at him as a “war hero” and one who was “dedicated to public service” in the Milwaukee area, according to Fox 6 Milwaukee. Salsbury is expected to appear in court on Monday.
