Maureen Decker, Tiger Woods’ kindergarten teacher has hired Gloria Allred, a celebrity attorney to represent her against Woods. Maureen Decker of Cerritos Elementary School in California has said that claims Woods made that he was racially harassed on his first day of kindergarten are not true. The ‘net buzz on this story is hot because people want to know the details of this incredible story.
Decker said that she blames Woods for her migraines, high blood pressure and colitis. She states that she feels stress from a story Woods created many years ago and has re-counted publicly several times. She was Woods Kindergarten teacher at the time. It is unclear if Decker is looking for just an apology or monetary damages.
“If Tiger is truly following a 12-step program for a so-called sex addiction,” Ms. Decker said, “then he needs to apologize to all those he has hurt by his words and actions, and that includes me, his kindergarten teacher.”
In 2005, Charles Barkey wrote in his book “Who’s Afraid of the Big Black Man” that Woods told him and Michael Wildon (writer): “I became aware of my racial identity on my first day of school, on my first day of kindergarten. A group of sixth-graders tied me to a tree, spray-painted [the n-word] on me, and threw rocks at me. That was my first day of school. I used to live across the street from school and kind of down the way a little bit. The teacher said, ‘OK, just go home.’ So I had to outrun all these kids going home, which I was able to do. It was certainly an eye-opening experience, you know, being five years old. We were the only minority family in all of Cypress, California.”
At the time, Decker claimed that this wasn’t true, and now she is stating it again. Allred is planning a press conference next week where Decker is expected to speak.
