There seems to be a blog for everything these days. From awesome things to streamlining things, from cooking things to techy things. It’s all there.
Now, children of the 80s, there’s a blog just for you, dedicated to all some of the best things of all… 80s things.
The writers of Best of the 80s call it “a celebration of the most awesome decade ever… to the max.” And, really, what’s not to love?
Ghostbusters, Live Aid, and Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” are just a few of the dozens of pop culture-y, 80s-tastic things they’ve already tackled.
The brains behind the blog are unabashed fans of all things 80s, even going so far as to sing the praises of the tackiest trends. Remember the Flock of Seagulls haircut? How about the ubiquitous “Frankie Say Relax!” t-shirts? Best of the 80s remembers them all, and remembers them fondly.
It’s entertaining, written with tongues firmly in cheek, and it may even help you remember things you’d long since forgotten. Plus, they also post a daily ‘Question of the Day’, testing your 80s knowledge of movies, music videos, and TV shows. (And, no, I’m not as 80s-proficient as I thought I was).
If you know what a flux capacitor is, if you can hum along with “Goodbye to You”, and if you still have a keyboard tie hanging in the closet, check ’em out. (They’re also on Facebook and Twitter.)
You can thank me later.
