The Fabric Stash is located at 45a Sturbridge Road in Charlton, MA. Owned and operated by Laurel Wilber it opened in 1997. Laurel has been sewing since she was young. She got her start sewing for 4-H sewing competitions and as an adult started her own 4-H sewing club. Since opening in 1997 the store has grown to include a Home Decorating Center, a professional machine quilting service, plus a large selection of books, patterns, sewing notions, yarns and knitting supplies. Classes are offered in all types of quilting, sewing and knitting. “Beginning quilters become skilled quilters with the help of patient teachers and hands-on experience.”
They also offer something called open sew in which you can sew what ever you have in mind for $15 a class. Need assistance? Laurel is there with her wisdom to guide you. On Wednesdays and Fridays children can receive sewing lessons, and any supplies they use get a 15% discount. On Mondays there is a class call, Sew, you want to sew? This class helps students learn how to create clothing items.
The Fabric Stash also offers a wide variety of fabrics and sewing notions for purchase. Stop by the Fabric Stash and see if they can assist you in any way.
