Hotrod Honeys vs. Honky Tonk Heartbreakers featured in Texas bout

by beep wire

The Texas Rollergirls will hold their second season double header this Sunday in north Austin. The Honky Tonk Heartbreakers will take on the Hotrod Honeys, and the Hustlers will skate against the Hell Marys.

No one has stopped the Hotrod Honeys juggernaut, except the WFTDA champion Oly Roller All Stars in the last two years. The Honeys have speed, size, and depth, and most importantly the best team blocking in the league. Featured jammers include Olivia Shootin’ John, Bloody Mary, and Morphine. Top blockers include Shank, Crackerjack, Lucille Brawl, and Voodoo Doll.

The Honky Tonk Heartbreakers have an interesting mixture of veterans and rookies. Rookie jammer Shortcut was the high scorer in last month’s bout that the Heartbreakers pulled out in the last two jams. The Angie Christ is a very skilled jammer, and rookie Colt has shown she can get some important points for the team in blue. Top blockers include Rita Menweep, Booty Queen, Ruby Wring, and Fender Bender.

The Hustlers will be seeking to rebound from a tough loss last month against the defending champions. The very physical team in purple will rely on Molotov M Pale to jam along with Acute Angel, and Puscy Velour. The strength of this team is the solid blocking including Belle Starr, Fearlys, Babe Ruthless, and Curvette.

The Hell Marys rely upon the jamming of some new jammers including Luce Bandit, The Killa Salmonella, and Speedy Rella. Top blockers include Kata Killzem, Ryder Down, Slaughter Mellon, and Muffin Tumble.

This bout will be held at Playland Skate Center, 8822 McCann Drive just off of Hwy 183 north and Burnet Road in Austin, Texas. Doors open at 6:30 pm with the bout starting shortly after 7 o’clock. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door if available. So far both Texas Rollergirls bouts this season have sold out. More bout information
