Green living is a popular phrase these days. Millions of Americans are trying to reduce their environmental impact by going “green”, meaning using products and eating foods that are healthier for the environment. From choosing the correct TV, to not drinking bottled water, it’s easy to make even a small difference.
The difference can even be made with your cat’s toys, grooming products, food and treats. With the help of Cheryl Franklin, owner of Confetti Cats in Mt. Lookout, a list was compiled of different items that are all-natural, safe for the environment and safe for cats:
Food and Treats
Precise Cat Food – this all-natural cat food is made with real chicken and is loaded with extra vitamins your cat needs. There are no artificial preservatives in this food!
Kitty Kissers – these quality treats are pure and chemical free. No artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives are made in these treats produced by the American Health Kennels, Inc.
Ark Naturals – this company boasts a variety of products from joint medicine, separation anxiety pills, Neem protection spray (to keep away the bugs), and gentle dietary pills that are all naturally made.
Pet Naturals of Vermont – With products like Smelly Cat (to help out the litter box smell) and Hairball chews, this company uses pure and natural materials to help your cat live a healthier life.
Scratching boards – looks for scratching boards that are made from all corrugated cardboard. Once used up, they can easily be recycled.
From the Field – these cats toys include mice and catnip, all made from hemp.
Honeysuckle – An alternative to catnip for those cats who don’t respond to the nip, honeysuckle is an all-natural option.
