Earth Day is tomorrow by calendar, however a growing number of people and businesses feel Earth day should be year round.
I can remember back to my childhood in the 1970’s recycling became popular. Since them we have had recycling centers and they have a good for our enviorment. However, over the past decade I believe that we have become more aware of how important it is for us to protect our environment.
The movement has spread into being, for want of a better word, marketable for businesses.
eBay has created a website to help both buyers and sellers go green and protect our environment. The website called eBay Green Team is located at http://www.ebaygreenteam.com/. The eBay Green Team website has great resources for sellers on how to go green and even how to market to their customers the fact their business is going green. There is even a tab for buyers to locate eBay sellers who are “green” sellers.
Going green with your business does not need to be costly. In fact I do my part with my eBay business. I shred everything that does not need to be filed and use the shredding for packaging material, I eve recycle packaging material (when appropriate). I pass these savings of buying new material onto my buyers which leads to increased sales.
Going green is not only good for our environment, but it can also be good for your business!
