The highly anticipated episode of ‘Glee’ that aired last night was all about Madonna — the songs, the costumes, and the attitudes made for some amazing television. While the episode pleased gleeks watching live across the world, those that rely on a DVR to get their ‘Glee’ fix were very disappointed. This is because the lead in show, ‘American Idol,’ went over by a few minutes. This, in turn, made ‘Glee’ run over by a few minutes. Those that watched the show on their DVRs got a shock when the last few minutes of the show were cut off.
The Twitter world went crazy over Fox’s faux pas, especially because this episode was hyped so much beforehand. Sue Sylvester’s ‘Vogue’ video had hit the internet a week before, and all of the fans of the show were chomping at the bit to see more of the Madonna-centric episode. Sadly, those who rely on a DVR had to wait until this morning, when the episode was posted on Hulu.com.
A lesson to Fox — don’t mess with ‘Glee’ fans — they will trash-talk you on Twitter! Check out some of the posts:
+ Y is American Idol allowed to go past it’s allotted time??? I think my dvr missed the last few minutes of Glee cause of AI! –shennylove21
