This Saturday, April 24, grab a buddy to form a team and take part in the third annual Central Texas Walk-n-Roll benefiting the Osteogensis Imperfecta Foundation and Texas Parent to Parent at the Lakeview Pavillion in Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock.
Osteogensis Imperfecta is a genetic bone disorder characterized by fragile bones that break easily. The OI Foundation is a vital source to families dealing with OI-related health problems. Texas Parent to Parent is an advocacy support group and resource for families of children with disabilities, chronic illnesses and other special healthcare needs.
Also this Saturday Eeyore’s Birthday will be celebrated at Pease Park in Austin. This year marks the 47th Annual celebration and benefits many of Austin’s nonprofit organizations. Wear a costume and come ready to enjoy music, food and sights unique to Austin.
May 1, 2010 in the beautiful San Gabriel Park in Georgetown, Texas, spend the day enjoying live music, shop the outdoor plaza, and let the kids have a ball at the Forever Land Festival. Proceeds benefit the Chisholm Trails Elk Lodge Children’s Medical Fund which assists seriously ill children in our community.
Looking ahead to May 22 The Real Ale Ride 2010 benefits the Ronald McDonald House of Austin and Central Texas. 250 riders are needed to help them meet their goal of raising $50,000 in support of families of critically ill and injured children.
