Wednesday, April 21 – Earth Day Festival 2010, 4:00pm – 8:00pm, The Triangle, 4600 Guadalupe Street. This is a family-friendly Earth Day Expo hosted by AGA and Triangle Farmers Market. There will be live music, green art, over 100 vendors and artists featuring earth-friendly, sustainable living products, along with activities for the kids, and the Planet Earth movie at dark! Thursday, April 22 – Barton Springs Pool Cleaning, 10:00am – 6:00pm, 2 hours shifts, Barton Springs Pool. Volunteers can come help clean this wonderful spring-fed pool.
Thursday, April 22 – Give 5% to Mother Earth – Over 50 local businesses will be giving 5% or more of their gross sales back to non-profit organizations who help our community and our environment. So pick a place to eat or shop and help the environment too! You can find the list of participating businesses at http://www.austinearthday.com/givefive.html.
Friday, April 23 – Fort Hood Earth Fest 2010, 3:00pm – 10:00pm, Hood Stadium at Fort Hood. This event is open to the public and is the largest earth fest event in Army. There will be live music and entertainment, over 35 exhibits on various environmental topics, a farmer’s market, fuel efficient vehicles, inflatables, clowns, free food and beverages!
