At first glance, Colt Cabana looks like a wrestler.
He is built like one at 6’1” tall and 233 pounds, but behind the wrestler you see is a well educated person who is ready to bring his future to his past.
Coming up this weekend in Chicago, Cabana will be coming back to his roots at the Frontier Fieldhouse and bringing his future with him in Ring of Honor.
“I couldn’t be more excited to come home to Chicago for the greatest pound for pound pro wrestling promotion, Ring of Honor,” said Colt Cabana.
But for this homecoming it will be more like a Chicago street fight than a normal wrestling match. Cabana will be teaming up with his tag partner, El Generico, in a ‘Come As You Are’ Street Fight against Kevin Steen and former ECW Heavyweight Champion Steve Corino.
“Normally Ring of Honor is about clean, respectable athletic competition,” Cabana continued, “but sometimes a problem gets too big and can only be solved with a little ole fashion street fight’n.”
So take the short drive north of Nashville to Chicago, Ring of Honor always gives the fans a little bit of everything.
“Ring of Honor always gives their fans more show than they pay for, and Saturday night in Chicago Ridge won’t be any different. It’s going to be a great night of live entertainment that can only truly be appreciated up close and personal.”
Cabana and El Generico vs. Kevin Steen and Steve Corino will be in one of the two main events.
Tyler Black will defend his ROH World Title against Chris Hero.
Other matches on the card include: Roderick Strong vs. Davey Richards; The Briscoe Brothers vs. Austin Aries and Kenny King; ROH World TV Champion Eddie Edwards vs. The Metal Master; Petey Williams vs. Rhett Titus; Josh Raymond and Christian Able with Truth Martini vs. Erick Stevens and Shawn Daivari with Prince Nana. Also scheduled to appear: “Skullkrusher” Rasche Brown, The Dark City Fight Club, “New Horror” Sami Callihan, and more. The Card is Subject to Change.
Wrestling legend Jim Cornette will also be in attendance for a special meet and greet with the fans from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Ring of Honor will be in Chicago Ridge, IL, on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Tickets are available at www.rohwrestling.com, www.tickets.com, or by calling (215) 781-2500.
